Israeli Army Kills Three Palestinians in West Bank Refugee Camp Assault

Israeli forces have killed at least three Palestinians in an assault on a house within the Far’a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. The latest military operation underscores the escalating violence in the region as Israeli raids and arrests continue to sweep across Palestinian territories.

The Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that the killings occurred on Wednesday night when Israeli soldiers surrounded the house near Tubas, opening fire and withholding the bodies of the three Palestinians. “Ambulance crews entered the house after the occupation forces withdrew and found body parts and traces of blood inside,” Wafa stated.

The Israeli military labeled the three Palestinians as “wanted terrorists who sold weapons for terror purposes.” However, Palestinian sources dispute these claims, arguing that such classifications are frequently used to justify deadly military operations.

Israeli forces also arrested two Palestinians, identified as Ahmed Nabil Sobh and Hakam Muhammad al-Khatib, during the raid in the camp. The killings mark another escalation in Israel’s weeks-long military campaign targeting several northern West Bank areas, including Jenin, Tulkarem, and their respective refugee camps.

The ongoing offensive has forced thousands of Palestinians to flee their homes as soldiers and bulldozers demolish houses and destroy critical infrastructure. According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), at least 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced due to Israel’s intensified military actions in the region.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces conducted further raids and arrests. On Thursday, soldiers stormed a home near Tubas and detained two brothers. At least three other Palestinians were arrested in Ramallah and el-Bireh, central West Bank, while six were taken into custody in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem.

In Beita, south of Nablus, confrontations erupted between Israeli soldiers and residents, resulting in a 15-year-old boy being shot in the leg. Israeli forces also fired tear gas canisters at the residents, further heightening tensions in the area.

Israel’s military crackdown on West Bank refugee camps, which began in January, has exacerbated an already dire humanitarian crisis. Refugee camps have historically been centers of Palestinian resistance against Israeli occupation, making them frequent targets for military operations. The destruction of homes, infrastructure, and access to essential services has left thousands of Palestinians without shelter, water, or electricity.

As violence surges, international calls for de-escalation and accountability continue to mount, with human rights organizations warning of severe violations against Palestinian civilians.
