Russell Brand, the British comedian and media personality, has been formally charged with multiple sexual offences, including rape, indecent assault, and sexual assault, spanning from 1999 to 2005. The allegations, which involve four separate women, come after a detailed investigation that followed a bombshell exposé by The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4’s Dispatches in September 2023.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed the charges, specifying one allegation of rape, one of indecent assault, one count of oral rape, and two further allegations of sexual assault.
